I went through a myriad of emotions this past Sunday to see my beloved Dallas Cowboys play the Buffalo Bills. Normally, if a quarterback loses the ball over 6 times in a game, the team will probably lose. Well, not this time. The Cowboys overcame a game full of mistakes hang a victory at the last second. Cowboy kicker Nick Folk was able to nail a 53 yard not once but twice ran the clock time. Buffalo Bills head coach Dick Jauron called a timeout just before the ball was broken in an attempt to ice the kicker. His strategy did not work. Nick came out of the timeout and another kick 53 yards, except this time the points counted.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo threw 5 interceptions and fumbled the ball once, however, was still able to will his team to victory. In his interview after the game, Romo said he never lost confidence and I always thought the Cowboys win. Romo could be the reason the Cowboys lost or why they were able to win. He chose the latter.
Watching Tony Romo throw interception after interception was painful. The Cowboys have the wind in his sails out of game a 4 straight wins and can not afford to lose in the game next week against the United States defeated New England Patriots. However, with all the buzz surrounding the young quarterback, who always seems to be in balance. He never lost faith and has always been positive. So his teammates believe in him and his abilities.
Tony has had many ups and downs over the past year. Last season, took over the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Drew Bledsoe at halftime of team play against the Giants. The Cowboys have not won the game, but Romo was able to show enough to warrant being named the starting quarterback for the rest of the season. Tony led the Cowboys to the playoffs to face the Seattle Seahawks. The game now famous forever etched in the memory of a real cowboy fans until the end of time. In a set of potential winning play, kicker Martin Gramatica got to kick a field goal that put the Cowboys ahead with only seconds remaining. When the ball broke, sought Romo and the Cowboys ended up losing the game. During the press conference after the game, Romo looked down and there was speculation that his confidence was shot. Tony gave him bad at the start of training camp. He said he was so angry that he left his team down, but never lost faith in himself or his abilities.
