A late breaking story from Houston surfaced this earlier week that appears to confirm the rumors that the current Tennessee Titans backup quarterback, Vincent Young, is secretly African American. Allegations of suspecte blackness have followed the troubled young quarterback throughout his career; his jocularity, frequent idiomatic usage of the word “dog”, the alleged treatment of the playbook as if it were the Voynich manuscript, indeed there has long been a consistent buzz around Young that he may, in fact, be a black dude. Multiple NFL sources have speculated directly on the subject in print media and blogs. To date none have been confirmed, but that may have changed in the last few weeks. Said Adam Schefter of the NFL Network recently “If you spend a lot of time with Vince, really get to know him, put in the effort, you almost get the feeling he’s not Jewish. Tiki and I were just talking about it the other day. Not a big tsimmes, but it’s hard to explain. ” Teammate LenDale White refused to comment, stating “I ain’t saying he is, or he ain’t, you know. Vince is Vince” but others are starting to question as well. From a recent interview with Jeff Fisher, Young’s current head coach: [Fisher] “I first started to suspect something after Kerry got hurt black powder hunting down in Bucksnort last year. He was only out a few days but Vince came up and asked me what that was. ” [Chris Mortenson] “What black powder was?” [Fisher] “No. A buck snort. ” Perhaps more damaging is the video footage recently released which confirms that Young, among other things, is capable of dancing and verbally rhyming to a rhythmic set cadence. When asked about the incident Young confirmed that he was indeed possessed of these self-termed “angry skills”, then proceeded to extoll his support for one William Dennis, a known African American and purveyor of the gangster genre of music, which is known to cause susceptible River Oaks teens to attempt to install bass cannons in their dad’s Audis without permission. Whether or not Vince can gain back the trust of his fans remains to be seen.

Priced around 60% higher than the America’s Top 100 package, DirecTV’s package offers a higher cost-per-channel but an even more well rounded line-up. With channels including SoapNet, BET and Turner Classic Movies, the package can appeal to a broader audience than that offered by DISH, albeit at a higher price.
The next tier of channel-lines available from DISH versus DirecTV is the America’s Top 200 package. This time, the step between tiers is smaller and not larger for DirecTV, whose next package offers 185-plus channels. In between, DISH also offers the America’s Top 100 Plus package, which simply combines the basic 100-plus channel package with regional sports channels. Looking at the third-tier packages offered by DISH versus DirecTV, DISH customers can currently expect to pay around 20% less for 200-plus channels than DirecTV customers will be billed for 185-plus channels. It is important to look beyond pricing, however, and discover the differences in channel line-ups. DirecTV adds channels like Biography and The Golf Channel to their 185-plus lineup, while DISH answers with more than fifty channels of Sirius satellite music channels, as well as a channel line-up that closely mimics DirecTV’s. Likewise, similar premium and adult movie channel lineups as well as sports packages are offered by each carrier, with pricing that fluctuates to give one the advantage over the other in pricing at certain times.
A final comparison can be made between DISH versus DirecTV, and that is in coverage areas. Both DISH Network and DirecTV have multiple satellites in orbit to provide as widespread covered to the United States as well as various other regions in the world. What Every Woman Should Know About Football and Marriage
My best friend forever Megan, got married last year. Believe me, I tried to talk her out of it; Or I at least advised her to wait awhile longer before taking the plunge.
She was in love though, at least with the idea of marriage. Scott, her husband is also a long time friend of mine. In fact, I introduced the two.
After a three month world wind romance, they announced their engagement at a dinner party I was having, ironically, to deliver some good news of my own, but more on that later. Anyway, the short amount of time between the day they met and the day they became engaged, was not why I advised against the two tying the knot. It was the actual date of the wedding.
They were to be wed in just a few weeks and not one moment of their courtship had, or would have, fallen during football season.
American football is a rite of passage for most men. In fact, most men spend more time and effort developing their relationship with football than they would ever think to with their significant other. It’s just the way it works, and believe me, it is a deep, intimate and very personal relationship!
If you have not spent time with your man during the rutting season, you could be in for a real eye opener. Language you may never have heard come out of his mouth before, and a sudden and complete disregard for your feelings, especially on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and sometimes Thursdays, could be a rude awakening as to the monster that really lies beneath that coat of shining armor.
Not all men fall victim to the call of the wild and are able to keep this temptress in check. You have no idea however, if your man is one of the very few who are immune to the intoxicating allure of a bunch of fat men running around in tights slapping each other on the rear ends. It’s best not to take this chance.
Football brings out the absolute worst in a man, even more so than him playing a round of golf and suddenly developing what they like to call the “Shanks”.
If you can travel blissfully through the months of August-February, the absolute height of football season, and come out the other side having not vomited at his atrocious behavior or that of his friends, who until the weather began to turn cooler, you never even knew existed, well then you have my blessing.
One quick tip if you are so head over heals in love that you just can’t wait until football season comes around to get a complete picture of the man you intend to spend the rest of your life with, there’s always this thing called the NFL draft. It’s sometime in April and ESPN and the NFL network devote about a 1000 hours to the whole stupid thing. If your man blocks off that weekend as a “no date” zone, your liable to be in for some very stormy weather come the final days of summer.
My advice, and I speak from experience here, is that if your guy actually watches more than a couple of hours of the NFL draft, consider it a symptom of horrible and debilitating things to come. If your man is currently a social drinker, he won’t be come kick off so consider the condition terminal.
Oh, my good news? The Washington Redskins reported that their ancient and out of touch coach was resigning and possibly, just possibly the team could finally remove their heads from their oversized butts and actually start winning for a change!! I’m interested to see what they intend to do in the draft this year.
